Campaigns

We use campaigns to create holy habits in the home by providing and presenting challenges, resources, and opportunities to practice and build faith in the church and in individuals ranging from crib to coffin.

This 120-day initiative is based out of the program within our Family Ministry called HomePointe.

Part of our vision is to build family legacies, and we want our roots to be deep in Christ. HomePointe exists to equip you and your family, and our campaigns are a reminder of that.

Courage

This year, we are focusing in on what true courage looks like. Not only does this theme of courage permeate the Bible, but its importance is emphasized in that God calls YOU to be courageous in YOUR life, too.

Fear is the birthplace of courage, but courage is the death of fear.

It is our hope and prayer that through this campaign’s resources, challenges, and opportunities, you grow deeper in your knowledge of Christ, so that you can walk in the courageous obedience that He calls us to.

Courage is an obedience to the Spirit that stems from your knowledge and confidence in Christ, who empowers you to act, react, or persist in the face of fear.

Reaction

When we are called to do something we aren’t comfortable with, or need to defend our faith, we need to respond in courage and not give into the worldly fear that captures our confidence. It starts with a decision of who or what to put your faith and trust in - the world and what it has to offer, or the power of Christ Jesus? Courage is being obedient to the LORD in the face of fear.

Response

Courage is displayed in the positions that someone takes when faced with something. There is a time to take a position of action, defense, or even waiting. Courage reveals itself in the posture and attitude of your heart. What you fear, you will obey. As Christ-followers, we will choose to fear the LORD.

Resilience

We want to be equipped to fight in this constant battle of who we will follow in this world - what better way than to be in God’s Word and practice obeying Him in the little things? We want to be connected closely to Jesus so we can follow Him closely. This includes our everyday life when we aren’t faced with any immediate threat. When we walk in the Spirit, we keep in step with the Spirit and can respond in obedience to Christ’s Spirit.

Challenges

The holy habit we want to form throughout this campaign is to stop fearing the world, and start fearing the LORD. We can do that by growing in our knowledge and closeness to Christ so we can follow in obedience.

If we can hold our confidence in the Creator and Sustainer of the Universe, then we can follow His lead in every area of our lives, no matter how intimidating the threat we are presented with. If we have faith in Him who is able to do far beyond what we ask or imagine, we operate out of the power of His Spirit. When we know Christ intimately and obey His Spirit, we are empowered to take a position of courage in the face of fear.

Below are a few Scripture verses we recommend memorizing as a reminder to put your confidence in the LORD and to sharpen your sword! Note: It may seem intimidating to memorize God’s Word, but don’t be afraid to do it! ;) Plus, you’ll most likely recognize at least some of these when you look them up.

Joshua 1:9; 1 John 4.18; 2 Timothy 1.7; John 15.4-11; James 1.27; John 13.35; Galatians 5.25; Hebrews 10.25; Proverbs 9.10; Proverbs 10.27; Philippians 4:6-7; Romans 5; Psalm 55.19, Isaiah 41:10, Hebrews 13:5-8, Deuteronomy 31:6; Deuteronomy 31:9; Romans 12:1-2

Opportunities

We are hosting Family Movie Nights in the sanctuary every other Tuesday at 6pm! Concessions are available. Check the weekly bulletin or Click Here for our upcoming movie showings and dates!

We also are highlighting different service opportunities from our church ministries and our supporting missions in our encouragement emails. We want to work for God’s Kingdom in ways that might be out of your comfort zone.

Courage Merch

Our campaign merchandise is sold as supplies last! Check it out at HomePointe!

Keep your eye out for extra resources for sale throughout the campaign that will help you in your personal studies.

Note: We are not selling merchandise to make any money or just because it’s cool (although it is cool), we wanted to start gospel-centered conversations with people. And what better way than to use your everyday clothing for that? :)
