The main entrance to the church facilities is the West Entrance. The secondary entrance is on the south side of the building.
Upon entering our church for services, you will be welcomed by a greeter. This person will provide you with either a monthly Reveille or a weekly bulletin. You can ask this person for directions or a map of the facilities.
Monthly Reveille and Weekly Bulletins
Each month, Rising Sun publishes a monthly publication, the Reveille, that includes the worship details for the day and outlines the activities for the upcoming month. It also includes a calendar, member's birthdays, and volunteer schedules. The weekly bulletin is a shorter version of the Reveille. It includes the worship details for the services and activities for the upcoming week.
Nursery and children's (infant through 5th grade) programs are available during the service and offer a warm, caring and fun atmosphere. There is a numbering system used at the Nursery counter. Each child will be assigned a number that they will have throughout the year. If we need to reach you during the service, your number will flash on the screen.
The first Sunday of the month, children K-5th grade will worship with their parents. Please see the welcome counter to obtain a classroom directory.
For those need additional aid in hearing our service, Hearing Assisted Devices are available in the sanctuary.
Attendance cards can be found in the pouch in the seat in front you. These are collected at the end of the aisle as the service begins.
First time guests are asked to fill out a green attendance card.
Return visitors and members are asked to fill out beige card.
Prayers & Praises can be filled out on a blue card if you have a prayer request or praise. Please sign your name on the card. We will pray over this request for 30 days.
Below are the key segments of our worship time. Sometimes the sequence may changes or we may have special skits, videos, or presentations.
Praise and Worship
Worship is lead by a worship team and instrumentalists. Occasionally, the choirs, church groups, soloists, or guests provide special music. This includes an opening prayer for our services.
Sermon
Our ministers or guest speakers give the sermons. Bring your Bible to follow along with the verses referenced in the sermon.
Offering
Offering is an opportunity to provide financial contributions to the church. For privacy for you as a giver, envelops are available in the pouch in the seat in front you. For regular attendees, Offering Envelopes are available with an assigned number printed on the envelop. These provide privacy and when you use your envelope each week, it is easier for the staff to keep a giving record for you.
Invitation
Invitation time is designed for those who would like to come forward and confess their faith in Christ and be baptized or for those who want to place membership as immersed believers. We also welcome individuals who want to come for prayer, counsel or rededication of their life to Christ.
The Lord's Supper for All Christians
The Lord's Supper is available every Sunday. The emblems are offered as a remembrance of Christ's sacrifice on the cross. All Christians are invited to partake of the emblems as they are passed, in a spirit of humility, repentance, and reverence.
Closing Prayer
Video tapes and DVD's of each service are available at the Welcome Counter. Videos are $2 and DVD's are $3.
