Doug Raymond

Doug Raymond has ministered with Rising Sun Church of Christ since June of 1973. He started as an associate minister with Elbert Newland and became senior minister in January, 1977. He is a native of Bayard, Iowa and attended Iowa State University. He holds degrees from Ozark Christian College and Cincinnati Bible Seminary. Doug and Joyce were married in 1972. They have two grown children, Cindy and Scott. Cindy is a Christian counselor and part of the faculty and staff at Lincoln Christian College and Seminary. Scott and his wife, Kari, live and work in the Minneapolis/St.Paul area. Joyce has directed the weekday preschool called Rising Sun Learning Center since it opened in 1980.

Dave Bouchard

Dave has been in the ministry for over 34 years. Before coming to Rising Sun Dave ministered in Canada with his wife Suzanne. Dave and Sue were married in 1976, they have one son, Jonathan. Dave graduated from Ozark Christian College and added work at University of Calvary. Dave taught for seven years at Alberta Bible College. Dave began ministering at RSCC in 1983. Sue administrates and organizes the library ministry at Rising Sun.

Eric Lang

Eric has been the Young Adult Minister with Rising Sun since 2003. He and his wife, Melissa, have two children, Kylee and Tucker. Eric graduated from Ozark Christian College in 1998. Before coming to RSCC, he was a youth minister in Spring Hill, FL. Eric spends his free time with his family and fishing.

Russ Myers

Russ and his wife, Bree, moved to Des Moines from Las Vegas in August of 2005. They were married January 22, 2005. Russ graduated from Ozark Christian College in Joplin, MO and Hope International University in Fullerton, CA.

"My passion in life is the glorification of Jesus Christ. My mission in life is to disciple my friends, family and church to a deeper understanding of the grace of God. The people in my life that have influenced me most would be my family. My wife, Bree, is my greatest accountability partner and friend. She allows me to understand the depths of God's love for me. I was also blessed to grow up in a Christian home that valued the will of God. My brother, Matt, has influenced me the most in my life's vocation since he went into ministry for his vocation. He and his wife Shanna have modeled ministry well for Bree and I. My brother, Tony, has taught me how to be a loyal friend and brother. He and his wife, Ginger, are an extreme blessing to us as well. My mother and father now live in Phoenix, AZ along with the rest of my immediate family. Books that have shaped who I am are: Radical Reformission by Mark Driscoll, Safest Place on Earth by Larry Crabb, The Search for Significance by Robert McGee, Renovation of the Heart by Dallas Willard, and Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis. I also enjoy listening to audio sermons by Mark Driscoll on marshillchurch.org. I value community and relationships deeply. I believe the church can be a place of healing and supernatural growth for any person, anywhere, no matter what their past has been."

Nancy Rogers

Nancy has attended Rising Sun Church all of her life, but began her job as Children's Minister in December 2001. Nancy has been married to Don since April 5, 1979. Together they have three children, Shawn (Amy), Luke and Jake. Nancy attended Ozark Christian College. Before coming to RSCC Nancy had an in-home daycare for twenty years.

"Working with children has always brought me joy. I love to see their faces each time we are together. I enjoy sharing the love of Jesus with them and seeing them grasp the concept of God's love for them."

Emily Hodges

Emily began her ministry at Rising Sun church of Christ in March 2001. Emily has been married to Dan since November 2003. They have a daughter, Audrey who was born on April 15, 2005.

Emily has been a member of Rising Sun Church of Christ since 5th grade. Currently she is teaching the 1st grade Sunday school class.

Vicki Dady

Vicki joined the RSCC staff in April, 2007.  Vicki married Lyle in June of 1991, and together they have four children, and three granddaughters.  Before joining the staff, Vicki worked at The Principal Financial Group for twenty three years.

Michael and his wife Tiffany moved to Des Moines Iowa form Las Vegas NV, They were married June 1, 2001.
My passion in life is to be Evangelistic, energetic, and passionate about the spiritual development of adolescents.
Called to reach a broken and lost generation for a living God.
