Adult Sunday School Classes
Helping You to know the WORD
You and I can talk about worship, discipleship and faith all day long, but all those words ring pretty hollow if we don’t know the mind of God. How do we follow someone we don’t know or listen to? How can we pursue God if we don’t know anything about Him or what He has said? Fortunately, the Lord has revealed himself through Christ and His story, the Bible.
Each week, at 9:30 on Sunday mornings, classes are taught that get you into this story. They are filled with people just like you that are learning, becoming acquainted with the personality of God and why He sent Jesus. If you want to resist the devil, if you want to know how to love the Lord your God, if you want to be a knowledgeable testimony for your Christ, pick a class and join in. It’s one of the best ways in the church for adults to get acquainted and to learn the “whys” of their faith.
2007-08 Winter Classes Begin December 2
Book of Psalms
The Psalms are songs and prayers capturing, in Alexander Maclaren’s word’s, “the heart’s echo to the speech of God.” Perhaps more than any other part of Scripture, the Psalms tell us what it feels like to walk in the way of the Lord. Student handbooks are available and free of charge in class or at the Welcome Counter. Three sections of this class will be offered.

Christianity 101, 201 & 301
Christianity 101, 201 & 301 will be taught in the office area, depending on the size of the class. Please meet there. Each session consists of three one hour meetings during the Sunday School hour and each builds on the previous, so plan to be at all three.
101 deals with becoming a Christian and a little about RSCC.
201 looks at discipleship, issues of study, fellowship and stewardship.
301 examines spiritual giftedness and how those gifts can be used in the ministry and in connecting here at the church.
