The purpose of adult education at Rising Sun Church of Christ is to equip and train adults in discipleship and service to Jesus Christ.
Adult Sunday School Classes
These classes are structured to educate and give people a chance to get acquainted. The material covered is primarily the Bible with periodical electives of Bible related topics. All classes meet and being at 9:30 on Sunday mornings.
Small Group Bible Studies and Accountability Groups
Groups of 2-20 meet throughout the week, both mornings and evenings, and even over lunch, to share a time of study and prayer. They meet in homes, restaurants, the church or offices to grow and fellowship on a friendship level. All groups are open and new leaders are welcome.
Ladies’ Bible Study
The Ladies’ Bible Study began on Friday, September 7 and will meet each 1st and 3rd Friday of every month from 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. Childcare will be provided. This group consists mostly of young women, but anyone is welcome. If you have any questions please contact Melissa Lang.
Do you talk to yourself? You are fearfully and wonderfully made by God. Does your self-talk reflect that? Diane Rullestad will be leading a study discussion of the book, Self Talk, Soul Talk: What to Say when You Talk to Yourself by Jennifer Rothchild, Starting Wednesday, January 9th. Jennifer has been a Women of Faith speaker, blind since the age of 15, and is the wife and mother of two boys. Come learn the life changing power of soul talk on Wednesday nights at 6:30 p.m. in room B240. You can get a copy of the book for $10.00 at the counter in the foyer. The Truth Project class started on January 9 and will run for thirteen weeks. The DVD will start at 6:30 p.m. followed by a time of discussion. Eric and Doug will be leading this class. It is the same series that ran during the Sunday School hour in the fall. If you have any questions , see Doug or Eric.
