Welcome! Rising Sun Church is a multi-generational fellowship of believers that seeks to minister to all ages. Our vision is to be a praying church who reaches out and challenges everyone to follow Jesus completely. Our mission is that through Jesus we worship God, grow to be more like Him, share the good news, and love others with the love of Christ. Many people today are seeking a place to learn more about the Gospel, find purpose in their lives and be part of a community that will love and support them. RSCC can be that place for you and your family.
Our Sunday morning worship is designed to lead you in deepened worship through the dynamics of music, media, and the Word. Check out the Ministries section to see all the opportunities for children, youth and adults that are available at RSCC throughout the week. And if you are new to Rising Sun, the I’m New section will give you more practical information. Join us at Rising Sun this week!
Join us as we travel through the book The Story, a book of selections from the Bible, arranged chronologically, that reads like a novel. During this unique 31-week experience, every member of the family reads their own version of The Story. Come discover together with us how our story is found in God's story!
Every age group in the church is involved! Families are learning more about the Bible together as each week moves us forward through The Story. You can learn more about how each of us as individuals—and as families—can make HIS story—OUR story.
Stop by the Information Center if you'd like books for yourself or your family.
Christmas is a wonderful time of the year and we want you to join us at RSCC as we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! Get some rest from the decorating, and the malls and come to rest your mind and soul with the beauty of the Christmas season and the true meaning that gets lost too easily in all of our busyness.
Christmas is a time of anticipation and expectation. We count the days and mark our calendars; we remember Christmases past and await those yet to come. Our contemporary Christmas is bridged with the joyous anticipation of those who experienced the very first Christmas. One can feel the excitement of the Old Testament prophets as they write of the coming Messiah. We marvel at Mary’s breathless anticipation when she learns she will bear the Son of God. We share the shepherd’s joyous response to the angelic host who brought the news that Christmas has been born—and Christmas has come! If we allow the Child of Christmas to wake the child asleep inside each of us—that’s a reason to sing!
Sunday evening there will be cookies after the musical, and also HeBrews will be open.
And at the Sunday night service, the Cherub Choir will start the evening by presenting their very own Christmas musical, “The Incredible, Gigantic, Humongous Veggietales Christmas Show.”
Bring the whole family and enjoy! In the hustle and bustle of the season, this will be a great way to bring yourself and your family back to the center—back to the Christ of Christmas!
|On Christmas Eve, bring your family for “Simply Christmas”, an evening of carols, scripture and praise. Enjoy seeing old friends and make new ones as we celebrate the eve of the birthday of Christ together! Your children will always remember the special times you spend together in the Lord’s house on Christmas Eve. Our service will begin at 6:30 p.m.|
